Woot Woot! Let’s hear it for the Santa Cruz County Search & Rescue Team!
Missing Trio Found UnharmedThe tough part is when the page comes in at 2’something AM and you're asleep!Three hikers were found unharmed early Tuesday morning after spending the night at Big Basin State Park.
The three men in their mid-20s, who were visiting the Central Coast from Kansas, went to the park late Monday afternoon with the intention of hiking to the falls. They were advised by a park ranger not to make the hike so late in the day but ignored that advice. Family members became concerned when the three failed to meet them as planned Monday evening. Members of the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office search and rescue team found the trio about 6:30 a.m. in the park. The men were cold, wet and hungry but otherwise OK.
