Animoto

I just recently learned of Animoto.com, a website that'll autogenerate video clips from photos and mp3s that you provide. The above video is my first test video. What's cool is that I was able to easily import my blog photos from PicasaWeb to Animoto. From an end user perspective, the entire process to generate a video was seamless and easy to use. Getting a bit carried away I also created one for Felton Fire and placed it on their website here.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Norm Hoffman, Chief Meteorologist for KION 46, displays a local picture sent to him during his nightly weather forecast. A couple of weeks ago I emailed a photo I had taken of the Beach Boardwalk from the wharf back on Halloween, 2004. I received an email two days ago from him mentioning that he will use my photo Halloween night during his weather segment on both KCBA FOX 35 news first at ten and on KION 46 news at eleven.
